Watch a video of special guests commenting on the Library's enduring value and celebrating its past and future. University Librarian Tom Leonard serves as MC, and speakers include Chancellor Birgeneau, ASUC President Vishali Loomba, bestselling author Annie Barrows, Professor Geoffrey Nunberg, Cal alum Earll Kingston, and Cal alum and English faculty emerita Maxine Hong Kingston.
At a grand open house on March 21,2012 our guests — 2000 of them — celebrated our birthday.
Campus music groups performed in the grand reading rooms, and talks, tours, and free books were all enjoyed -- along with birthday cupcakes!
