Building Doe Library

"Moving the University of California Library"

Besides the actual construction of Doe Library, the collection of over 200,000 volumes needed to be moved from the Bacon Library building into the new facility. The move was completed over two weeks, May into June 1911. Then the library was formally dedicated in March of 1912.
